The Kingdom of Claurud calls hundreds of heroes from other worlds every year to fight against the Dark Lord and his powerful army of demons. Banaza is one of these heroes, summoned from the capital of the Plumma Empire, but something is amiss. Banaza is just a normal merchant, not a warrior with magical powers and combat abilities, and his training is even weak. And to make matters worse, this mistake has made it impossible for him to return home! Now that he's stuck in another world as a failed hero, he's sent to a remote part of the country by a tyrannical king who doesn't want to see him. Banaza's fate seems very bleak, but what will happen when this failed hero reaches level 2?
